How information is used when you shop or contact SHRworks.

Who to contact

This notice explains how information is handled for the SHRworks online store. For a privacy question or request, contact SHRworksH@gmail.com.

Information you provide and information generated by the store

When you place an order, create an account or contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details and the content of your message. Account information may include a password stored by the site’s account system in a protected form, rather than as readable text.

The store and its service providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser information, session identifiers and error or security records needed to operate, troubleshoot and protect the site. Payment and order records may include payment status and transaction references.

Please do not send full card details, passwords or unnecessary identity documents in a contact form, email or product review. Reviews you submit for publication can display your chosen public name, rating and review text. Contact and order-support messages are saved privately in the store and may be emailed to our support team so we can respond; they are not published as reviews.

Why the information is used

  • To accept payment, fulfil orders, arrange delivery and provide order updates.
  • To manage accounts, answer questions, process returns and provide product support.
  • To prevent abuse, maintain security and resolve technical problems.
  • To keep transaction records and meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to perform a contract, meet a legal obligation, or pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting the store, subject to your rights. Where consent is required for an optional activity, that activity requires the appropriate consent; making a purchase does not by itself authorise unrelated marketing.

Payment, delivery and other service providers

PayPal processes PayPal payments under its own privacy notice and payment terms. SHRworks does not receive or store your full card credentials through that payment flow. We receive the information needed to match the payment to your order and handle payment-related support.

Necessary order and delivery details are shared with the carrier or shipping provider used for your shipment. Hosting, email, website and security service providers may process information needed to provide their services. Information may also be shared where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Depending on the provider and delivery destination, information may be processed in other countries. Where the applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements must be met. A provider’s own privacy notice explains its independent processing.

Cookies and store sessions

WordPress, WooCommerce and the payment service use cookies or similar technology for functions such as keeping the cart, maintaining a login session and completing payment. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent these functions from working.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser. The payment provider also explains its use of cookies and similar technology in its own privacy and cookie notices.

How long information is kept

Information is retained for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including order fulfilment, support, dispute resolution and applicable tax, accounting or other legal obligations. Different records can have different retention periods. Removing an account does not necessarily require deletion of transaction records that must still be kept by law.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent for processing based on consent. A withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of processing before it. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Email us to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before sharing or changing personal data. We will respond in line with applicable requirements.

This notice may be updated when the store or its practices change. The revision date is shown on this page.
